Body As Witness began as a simple question:
What happens if we stop trying to fix ourselves…
and learn how to stay instead?

My name is Joe Bakhmoutski,
I created this space after years of noticing how often healing conversations rush toward resolution — toward insight, explanation, or improvement. And yet the moments that changed me most weren’t the ones where something was solved. They were the ones where I wasn’t alone with what I was carrying.
Body As Witness is not a program, a method, or a promise of transformation. It’s a place to arrive as you are. A place where nervous systems can settle without being corrected. Where uncertainty isn’t treated as failure, but as orientation. Where belonging doesn’t require performance.
The episodes are guided journeys and reflections designed to be experienced slowly. Sometimes nothing dramatic happens. Sometimes the body softens in ways that are hard to name. Both are welcome here.
This work grows from lived experience — from moments of feeling cornered, uncertain, and disconnected, and from discovering that presence itself can restore choice. Not by forcing change, but by allowing reorganisation to happen in its own time.
If you’re here, you don’t need to understand anything.
You don’t need to explain yourself.
You don’t need to be ready.
You’re already welcome.
Just as you are.
